Add-ons are legal programs for world of warcraft that you can download into your world of warcraft files to alter the game. There are a ton of add-ons available for the game, many useful, and many… well not so useful.

Now that you know that you need addons and where to get them, the next part is figuring out what addons you should get.  One addon I always recommend to players is auctioneer or a similar auction house addone.  Knowing the value of your items is key in farming gold and helps you to purchase and sell your items at the market value.

Whether you have heard about Auctioneer or not, if you want to make more gold, it is essential to your gaming experience.  Not only does it tell you the prices of items, it makes it much easier to use the auction house to sell your items.

When I initially found out about add-ons, I did not really think that I needed or would use them.  I really did not want to add files to the game in fear of causing it to crash or not work.  Many people out there may be like-minded and are fearful or too lazy to use addons.  However, if you talk to any experienced WoW player, they will tell you that addons are a must for great gameplay.  Once I started using them, I have never turned back.
